Message to Families- Return From Easter Break

Good afternoon Fort McMurray Catholic Schools families,

We reach out to you today as we return from Easter Break tomorrow. We pray this has been a restful and rejuvenating break which has been soothing for your mind, body and soul. We encourage you to continue to put all your fears at the foot of the cross.

As we return to school tomorrow we are sharing a few reminders once again.

COVID-19 Reminders:

  • Please remember upon our return to school tomorrow we will continue to ask that you complete the Alberta Health Daily Checklist each day. Please do not attend school while ill.
  • For those of you who are returning from out of country trips we encourage you to be familiar with the Federal Government travel information. Please be aware of the section in this document that states for 14 days after you return to Canada you are to wear a mask “in public spaces, both indoors and outdoors”.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 there is a mandatory minimum 5 day isolation in Alberta. This is dependent on your vaccination status and symptoms.
  • If you are a household close contact to a positive case, and unvaccinated, it is highly recommended that you stay home for 10 days and not attend school, work, or other activities.

Alberta Education Telephone Town Hall Meeting:

  • Alberta Education will be holding a telephone town hall meeting with Minister Adriana LaGrange “to engage with parents directly on current initiatives within Alberta’s education system, including K-6 curriculum renewal, reforming teacher profession discipline, the spring education agenda, and more.”

School Calendars:

We continue to thank you for your grace, patience, and compassion as we approach the conclusion of the 2021/22 school year.
