Industrial Technologies Lab
The beginning level of Industrial Technologies at Father Patrick Mercredi delivers a unique and elite experience to high school students who are interested in Electrical, Millwright, Instrumentation, Power Engineering or other associated technologies.
Students will have the opportunity to explore multiple sectors of these technology areas as well as identify the link between post-secondary education and potential careers. In addition, students will acquire teamwork skills and individual technical skills that will translate to all careers in the workforce as well as home maintenance and other related tasks.
These courses use the CTS program of studies to guide student learning through the use of:

Mathematics Curriculum: A computer software program that focus students on the basic operations of arithmetic and an overview of basic geometry concepts. Topics include whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, proportions, place value, roots and basic concepts related to measurement and geometry.
Interactive Multimedia: A computer software program that takes students through the information interactively.
Learner Activity Packets (LAPs): Booklets which students read and use to complete their understanding of the concepts.
Virtual Trainers: Software programs that provide an interactive experience, which simulate the physical skills that students will have to perform on the hardware trainers.
Hardware Trainers: The actual physical training or learning system where students develop the technical skills associated with real, industry standard machines.
